Engineering Delivery Manager – Combat Management Systems (CMS) Hardware
Engineering Delivery Managers CMS Hardware operate as a key delivery leader within our Mission Systems segment and play a critical role in ensuring predictable and successful engineering execution for the TACTICOS CMS product.
Based in Hengelo, you are responsible for driving and safeguarding engineering delivery performance for the TACTICOS hardware development and delivery to multiple project on our Mission Systems Segment. Your focus will be on the specification of new hardware equipment, – and maintenance of existing hardware specification – and the procurement of first of class including the qualification process.
You ensure engineering activities are delivered on schedule, within budget, and according to quality standards. You work closely with Work Package Managers (WPMs), System Engineering, Hardware engineering, IVVQ and the CMS Project Management Team to maintain full control over engineering scope, planning, risks, and execution.
Challenges specific to this role are to manage the TACTICOS product line, with parallel releases, blocks and to maintain multiple product baselines. It’s the responsibility of the EDM CMS together with project EDMs to create an optimal product and project delivery, from a portfolio point of view, by optimizing the software development and delivery of product instantiation towards the projects.
As Engineering Delivery Manager, you enable engineering teams to perform at their best by providing structure, transparency, and continuous improvement. You support engineering teams across the Netherlands, Portugal, and Romania, contributing directly to the successful delivery of our Combat Management System for the Mission Systems portfolio.
This role offers a unique combination of operational engineering leadership and delivery optimization, allowing you to make a tangible impact on mission-critical naval defence systems used worldwide.
