We’re Hiring: Senior C++ Software Engineer | Location: Hengelo, Netherlands

We are looking for an experienced Senior C++ Software Engineer to join an important real-time application development team supporting advanced naval systems for a major defence project.

What You’ll Do

Develop real-time applications in C++ within a multidisciplinary Agile/Scrum team.

Contribute to the full development cycle: from requirements to system integration and validation.

Collaborate on software design and architecture with a strong focus on quality, security, and performance.

Work with modern development tools and practices, including CI/CD and automated testing.

What We’re Looking For

8-10+ years of recent, relevant experience in C++ (application-level, not embedded).

Strong background in real-time systems development.

Bachelor’s degree or higher in Software Engineering or a related field.

Dutch nationality (due to required security clearance).

Willingness to work onsite in Hengelo on Tuesdays and Thursdays, with flexibility to be present when needed.

Google Test, Cucumber

Agile/Scrum, CI/CD
