The Position
As part of our ongoing growth, we are looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join our teams and work on client projects in Hengelo, Netherlands.
As a Senior Software Engineer you will:
- Design, develop, and maintain Naval Combat Management Systems
- Design and write Python-based software that sets up and manages networks between ship systems to ensure data flows correctly under reliability and security requirements
- Together with your team, you own the full software lifecycle from requirements analysis, R&D, to testing and demonstrations
- Make the systems repeatable, maintainable, and easy to deploy
Your profile
- Completed bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science or related field
- 3-4 years of experience in a similar position
- Strong experience in Python (OOP and functional programming)
- Experience with CI/CD tools (GitLab, Jenkins, Jira, Maven)
- Experience working on Linux systems, preferably with Red Hat Certification (RHCE)
- Experience with Ansible (or IaC in general) and networking knowledge (e.g., routing & switching, OSPF, multicast, firewalls)
- Experience in scaled and Agile environments
- You enjoy systems programming, infrastructure, and networking
