The Mechanical & Electrical discipline, consisting of approximately 150 employees, is responsible for the hardware engineering of our radars and on-board systems in various domains: Radars, Fire Control and Combat Management Systems. Examples of mechanical designs are rotating couplings, support structures, drives, cooling and filter units, supported by thermal and stress analyses, etc. This equipment is designed to withstand the harsh environment of the defense world.

Are you a driven engineer with a passion for supporting our engineering department in demonstrating if our designs can operate in this harsh environment? Are you interested in preparing, setting up and running tests for our designs? Can you analyze the results? Do you know how to advise our designers on demonstrating the quality and requirements and how to integrate it into the process?

Test and Verification Engineer

Responsibilities

  • Prepare, validate and conduct or co‑coordinate the hardware validation tests.
  • Guide suppliers in the hardware validation testing, towards qualification.
  • Analyze and solve problems and change requests raised to hardware verification.
  • Ensure knowledge sharing to downstream stakeholders.
  • Ensure verification protocols are handed over for series production.
  • Define hardware verification strategy in consistency with the design process.
  • Tailor the hardware verification (process, practices and tools) according to project’s requirements.
  • Define hardware verification scenarios and implementation.
  • Prepare, conduct or co‑coordinate HW verification activities (e.g., factory‑ and first article inspections, Environmental Competence Center (ECC) testing).
  • Analyze the results and report to the development teams.

Qualifications

  • A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical, Mechatronics or Electrical Engineering.
  • Demonstrated experience as an engineer and preferably a similar role.
  • Experience in a production environment with series production in the defense industry.
  • A strong solution‑oriented approach.
  • Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively with various teams.
  • Organisational talent that is able to get key players together and set things into action.
  • Creativity and innovation capacity to continuously improve existing systems.
